چکیده

Abstract This paper presents a novel fiber-based muscle model for the forward dynamics of musculoskeletal system. While bones are represented by rigid bodies, muscles taken into account means one-dimensional cables that obey laws continuum mechanics. In contrast to standard force elements such as Hill-type model, this approach is close real physiology and also avoids issue wobbling masses. On other hand, computational cost rather low in comparison with full 3D mechanics simulations. The cable includes sliding contact between individual fibers well bones. For discretization, cubic finite employed combination implicit time stepping. Several validation studies simulation motion scenario upper limb demonstrate potential approach.

Fiber types in mammalian skeletal muscles.

Mammalian skeletal muscle comprises different fiber types, whose identity is first established during embryonic development by intrinsic myogenic control mechanisms and is later modulated by neural and hormonal factors. The relative proportion of the different fiber types varies strikingly between species, and in humans shows significant variability between individuals. Myosin heavy chain isofo...

Context-aware Volume Modeling of Skeletal Muscles

This paper presents an interactive volume modeling method that constructs skeletal muscles from an existing volumetric dataset. Our approach provides users with an intuitive modeling interface and produces compelling results that conform to the characteristic anatomy in the input volume. The algorithmic core of our method is an intuitive anatomy classification approach, suited to accommodate sp...

Fiber Phenotype and Coenzyme Q10 Content in Turkey Skeletal Muscles

Phenotypical differences between muscle fibers are associated with a source of cellular energy. Coenzyme Q 10 (CoQ 10 ) is a major component of the mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation process, and it significantly contributes to the production of cellular energy in the form of ATP. The objective of this study was to determine the relationship between whole-tissue CoQ 10 content, mitochondri...
